Purpose of Position:

To provide quality care, treatment and education to the individuals we serve. To provide a safe and therapeutic home-style environment enhanced by comprehensive mentoring, partnerships and recreational opportunities.
Educational/Experience Qualifications:


· Is a graduate of a college or university with a Masters degree in a related human service field with less than one year of full-time, post graduate accumulated MH/DD/SA experience with the population served. Upon hiring an individualized supervision plan shall be developed and supervision shall be provided by a qualified professional with the population served until the individual meets one year of experience; or
a graduate of a college or university with Baccalaureate degree in a related human service field with less than two years of full-time, post baccalaureate accumulated MH/DD/SA experience with the population served. Upon hiring, an individualized supervision plan shall be developed and supervision shall be provided by a qualified professional with the population served until the individual meets two years of experience; or
a graduate of a college or university with Baccalaureate degree in a related human service field with less than four years of full-time, post baccalaureate accumulated MH/DD/SA experience with the population served. Upon hiring, an individualized supervision plan shall be developed and supervision shall be provided by a qualified professional with the population served until the individual meets four years of experience; and/or
a register nurse who is licensed to practice in the State of NC by the NC Board of Nursing and has less than four years of full-time accumulated experience in psychiatric mental health nursing.

Duties:


Consumer

· Management of day-to-day operations of facility

· Supervision of paraprofessionals regarding responsibilities related to the implementation of each child or adolescents treatment plan

· Provides participation in service planning meetings

· Assists in assessing consumer strengths and needs

· Assists in program planning

· Performs quality assurance checks and documentation assuring such as medical record guidelines are followed and specific program documentation are followed

· Supervises service provision assuring such as all services and programs are delivered as specified in the plan, progress is recorded accurately and immediately, all consumer rights policies are followed and consumer is treated with dignity and respect

· Assists staff with evaluating progress

· Serves as substitute staff as deemed necessary in emergency situations

· Provides continuing progress reports to the clinical care coordinator

· Maintain regular contact with consumers

· Provides on-call support to direct care staff

· Develops a weekly activity schedule for consumers including therapeutic outdoor activities, therapeutic indoor activities and group topics.
