Becoming a Foster Parent

Every child in foster care has experienced some kind of trauma in their life.

Each therapeutic foster child struggles with their mental health and has their own specific needs. Rockwell Center and its foster families provide the opportunity and resources for these children to learn to manage their mental health and begin to heal.

These children are in need of stable, patient, and loving homes to support and empower their recovery.

When a home cannot be found, children have no choice but to sleep at social services or siblings are split up.
50% of foster youth are jobless and have no income for four years when they age out of the foster care system. The average income for a young adult aging out of the system is $7,500 per year.
